THE STANDING

The work is interviewing people and writing down what they said.

An examination of this kind does not succeed or fail on a checklist. It succeeds when someone can ask a front-desk clerk, on a Tuesday night, how they would report a concern about a guest — and get an honest answer that can be written down and relied on later.

That is a trained skill, and it is the one thing on this page I would point to first.

Behavioral Health Specialist (68X)
U.S. Army – 11+ years

Eleven years of structured interviews, assessment and documentation. Asking a person a difficult question and recording precisely what they said — not what would be convenient.

This is the method. Staff interviews and the written record they produce are the core of every engagement, and the part most vendors cannot do well.

Bachelor’s Degree
Terrorism Studies

Formal study of trafficking, transnational criminal networks and the legal frameworks that reach them.

You are being measured against a federal statute with a ten-year reach. Subject grounding is not decoration here.

U.S. Army Reserve
Currently serving · Iraq tour · multiple awards

Sustained service, and a combat tour completed.

Context, not a qualification. I include it because you are entitled to know who is walking through your lobby.

Licenses for unarmed, commissioned and personal-protection security work, issued under the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Private Security Program.

These are private security licenses. They are not a peace-officer commission, not law enforcement, and they confer no investigative authority. See below.

WHAT I DO NOT CLAIM

A licensed security officer is not a peace officer. A certificate from a private company is not accreditation. And I would rather you hear this from me than discover it later and wonder what else was overstated.

  • I hold no authority from the State of Texas, the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of Public Safety, or any regulatory agency.
  • I am not law enforcement, and I cannot investigate, detain, arrest, or compel anyone to speak with me.
  • I do not hold a private investigator’s license, and I do not conduct investigations.
  • An engagement produces an independent examination and a written record. It is not an audit under any government standard, and it is not legal advice.
  • Nothing I issue is required by law. It is evidence you chose to obtain.
  • There is no accreditation body for this work. Anyone telling you they are “accredited” to audit trafficking compliance is either describing a private certificate or overstating it.

INDEPENDENCE

An examination is only worth what the examiner’s independence is worth.

If I had a financial reason to find something, the report would be worthless to you — and worthless to an underwriter or a court. So the structure is built to remove those reasons.

How the firm is set up

Yellow Rose Verification Group, LLC is a Texas limited liability company with its own ownership, its own bank accounts, its own books, its own insurance, and its own client contracts. It is not a division or a trade name of any other business.

Fees are fixed and published. There is no contingency arrangement, no commission, and no success fee — I am never paid more because of what an examination finds.

What I do not take

No commissions or referral fees from training providers, vendors, consultants, remediation contractors, or anyone else who might sell you something after I leave. No gifts. No vendor relationships of any kind.

Yellow Rose Tactical is a separate company. It does not sell to this firm’s clients, this firm takes no referral fee from it, and the two do not share fees. If you are ever offered a product by anyone on the strength of an examination, that is a breach of this page, and I want to hear about it.

THE DISQUALIFICATION

Most of the value of an examination is finding out that you did not need one.

Almost every vendor has a reason to tell you that you have a problem. I have a reason to tell you when you do not: an examination that finds nothing is still an examination I was paid for, and it is still worth having in your file. That is a better business than the alternative, and it is the only one I am interested in running.

WHAT I WILL TELL YOU, IN WRITING

If your diagnostic comes back clean, or close to it, I will tell you plainly that you do not need a full audit — and I will mean it.

0–1 of 15  →  You have a working verification layer. Show me the independent document behind it and I will tell you to keep your money.
2–5 of 15  →  A full examination is worth it. You have pieces that need to hold together and answer for you.
6–10 of 15  →  A full examination, and the insurability work matters to you at renewal.
11–15 of 15  →  Start with your insurer, not with me. That is the deadline you do not control.

WHAT I WILL NOTE SELL YOU

Four things I refuse to put in front of you.

Naming what a business will not sell is more useful than naming what it will. These four come up constantly in this market, and I have watched each of them cost an owner money.

01

The report without the plan

A findings report with no corrective plan is worse than no report at all. It proves you knew and did nothing. The plan is part of every engagement, and the re-examination verifies it.

02

Training

Approved trafficking training is already available to you at no cost, including from the Attorney General’s office. I will not sell you something you can get free. Training is the floor, not the product.

03

A gap list with no remedy

Telling an owner he is exposed, and leaving him there, is not a service. If I raise something, you get what closes it, who owns it, and the date it is due.

04

Certainty I cannot deliver

No examination makes a claim impossible, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling fear. What it does is give you a dated, independent record of the controls you had in place and when.
